supo vs the tools you already know

What “live” means here
“Live” gets used loosely in this category. Some tools mean they mark a timestamp while you stream and build the clip once the recording has finished processing. That is a different product, and it lands after the VOD.
supo means the clip is cut, captioned and ready while the stream is still on air. You are not waiting for the broadcast to end, which is the entire reason a clipper gets there first.
When supo is the wrong tool
There is no point pretending otherwise. If one of these is you, buy the other thing.
You are clipping a podcast, an interview or a YouTube upload
Opus Clip is built for long-form video and takes files directly. supo is pointed at streams.
You are the streamer, clipping only your own channel
Eklipse is built around your own connected channel and that is the whole product.
You upload one enormous 13-hour marathon a week
ClipMe bills per video rather than per hour, so one long stream costs it the same as a short one. supo charges by the hour, and a marathon will cost you more with us.
You want a free tier you can keep using
supo gives 2 credits once and then asks for money. Opus Clip and ClipMe both run ongoing free plans.
What supo costs, in hours
supo bills in credits. A live hour is 3 credits and an hour of past video is 2, so the plans convert straight into hours of stream.
| Plan | Price | Credits | That buys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2 credits, once | 40 min live, or 1 hour of VOD |
| Pre-Clipper | $18/mo | 30 credits | 10 hours live, or 15 of VOD |
| Clipper | $27/mo | 48 credits | 16 hours live, or 24 of VOD |
| Pro-Clipper | $49/mo | 90 credits | 30 hours live, or 45 of VOD |
Clip the stream, not the VOD.
Two credits free when you sign up. That is forty minutes of a live stream, which is enough to see whether the clips are any good.
