The Vugola alternative that clips while the stream is still live

Vugola works from recorded video and rejects anything longer than 3 hours. Most Twitch and Kick broadcasts are longer than that. supo clips the stream while it's still running, takes the whole thing, and posts to Instagram — which Vugola currently can't.

What Vugola is, and where supo is different

Vugola (vugolaai.com) is an AI clipping tool for recorded video, sold as an agent. You paste a link — its API reference lists YouTube, Vimeo, or a direct MP4 — and it returns vertical clips with burned-in captions, then schedules them to your socials. It does this well on paper and it does two things supo does not do at all: it publishes a public REST API and an official MCP server, so an AI agent can clip on your behalf. If you build automations, that's a genuine advantage and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

supo is built for the thing Vugola's architecture can't reach: the live broadcast. supo watches a Twitch or Kick stream as it happens and produces finished vertical clips mid-broadcast, so you can post while a moment is still fresh — often before the VOD exists. It also doesn't stop at 3 hours, and it posts to Instagram today. supo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Vugola or vugolaai.com. Every Vugola claim below is taken from Vugola's own published pages as of August 2026.

Three things Vugola can't do for a stream clipper

01

It can't clip live

Vugola's own Twitch and Kick pages are VOD pages — "paste your VOD link", "start with last night's stream". Its API takes a YouTube, Vimeo or MP4 URL. By the time it can start, the stream is over and every other clipper has the same footage. supo starts while the stream is running.

02

It rejects your stream at 3 hours

Vugola's API error reference lists video_too_long for any source over 3 hours, and its Twitch and Kick pages both say "Up to 3 hours". A normal broadcast runs longer. That's not a slower result — the job is refused. supo doesn't cap a pasted VOD at 3 hours.

03

Its Instagram posting is down

Vugola states on its pricing page, its API docs and its agent page: "Instagram, Facebook, and Threads are temporarily unavailable." Reels is where clip accounts live. supo posts to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.

HONEST NOTE

Vugola's API and MCP server are a real lead and we don't have an answer to them yet — if you want an agent to clip for you, that's a good reason to pick Vugola. LinkedIn, Bluesky, credit rollover and team seats are also theirs, not ours. What we won't concede is the stream: Vugola cannot clip live, and it refuses a broadcast over 3 hours. What an hour of video actually costs

Vugola bills 10 credits per source minute — 600 credits per hour of video — stated twice in its own API documentation. That makes the credit totals on its pricing page smaller than they look. Below, Vugola is shown at its discounted annual rate and supo at its full monthly rate, so the comparison runs against us, not for us.

PlanPriceVideo per month$ per hour
Vugola Starter$10/mo billed yearly2.5 hours$3.93
Vugola Creator$21/mo billed yearly7.5 hours$2.77
Vugola Agency$69/mo billed yearly20 hours$3.47
supo Pre-Clipper$18/mo15 VOD-hours$1.20
supo Clipper$27/mo24 VOD-hours$1.13
supo Pro-Clipper$49/mo45 VOD-hours$1.09

Same money, three to four times more footage — and supo's hours can be spent on live streams, which Vugola doesn't clip at all.

supo spends 2 credits per VOD-hour and 3 per live-hour from one shared pool, so the same plan covers either. Vugola's credits cover recorded video only. Both products bill by hour of source, and neither charges extra for the number of clips that come out — so this is a like-for-like comparison. How supo works, start to post

  1. Point supo at a stream or creator

Paste a Twitch or Kick link, upload a VOD, or add a creator to Autopilot so supo starts automatically the next time they go live.

  2. supo finds the moments live

Whole-stream AI moment detection scans the broadcast as it happens for the reactions, plays and spikes worth clipping — no waiting for the VOD to drop, and no 3-hour ceiling.

  3. Auto-edit into vertical shorts

Face-track 9:16 cropping, karaoke word-perfect captions and a hook headline are applied automatically, at 1080p on every plan. Tweak anything in the built-in browser editor.

  4. Auto-post on a human-paced schedule

Connect one or more accounts and supo drips clips out on a human-paced schedule — jittered 20–45 minute intervals, quiet hours and daily caps — to reduce the spammy patterns that get accounts flagged. That's risk reduction, not a guarantee: you're still responsible for each platform's Terms of Service.

Common questions

Is supo a good Vugola alternative?
It depends on what you clip. Vugola works on recorded video — you paste a VOD link and it returns clips. Its own documentation rejects any source under 5 minutes or over 3 hours. supo clips Twitch and Kick streams while they are still live, and does not cap your VOD at 3 hours. If you clip streamers, supo covers cases Vugola cannot accept at all. If you clip podcasts and want a REST API and an MCP server, Vugola offers both and supo does not.
Can Vugola clip a live stream?
No. As published on vugolaai.com in August 2026, Vugola works from recorded video. Its Twitch and Kick pages are VOD pages — "paste your VOD link", "any twitch.tv/videos link". Its API accepts a YouTube, Vimeo or direct MP4 URL. supo's signature feature is clipping the broadcast while it is still running, so clips can be posted before the VOD exists.
Does Vugola have a limit on video length?
Yes. Vugola's own API error reference lists video_too_short for anything under 5 minutes and video_too_long for anything over 3 hours, and its Twitch and Kick pages both state "Up to 3 hours". A typical Twitch or Kick broadcast runs longer than 3 hours, so it would be rejected. supo does not cap a pasted VOD link at 3 hours; direct file uploads are capped at 4 GB.
Can Vugola post to Instagram?
Not at the moment. Vugola states on its own pricing page, API documentation and agent page that "Instagram, Facebook, and Threads are temporarily unavailable." Its live posting destinations are TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Bluesky. supo posts to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X. Check vugolaai.com for the current status before deciding, since this may change.
Which is cheaper, supo or Vugola?
Per hour of source video, supo is roughly three to four times cheaper. Vugola charges 10 credits per source minute, which is 600 credits per hour, so its 1,500-credit Pre-Clipper plan covers 2.5 hours of video a month. supo spends 2 credits per VOD-hour and 3 per live-hour, so its $18 Pre-Clipper plan covers 15 VOD-hours or 10 live-hours. Prices as published August 2026; check both sites for current pricing.
What does Vugola do better than supo?
Several things, and they are real. Vugola publishes a REST API and an official MCP server so AI agents can clip programmatically; supo has neither. Vugola posts to LinkedIn and Bluesky, which supo does not support. Vugola offers credit rollover on its Creator and Agency plans and three team seats on Agency; supo offers neither. If those matter more to you than live clipping, Vugola is the better fit.
Is supo affiliated with Vugola?
No. supo is an independent product at supo.live and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Vugola or vugolaai.com. Every claim on this page about Vugola is drawn from its own published pages as of August 2026; check vugolaai.com for current details before deciding.
